The Embassy of Colombia and Canning House hosted an academic event to present “Anti-drug policies in Colombia: Successes, failures and lost opportunities”, book co-edited by Daniel Mejia and Alejandro Gaviria, two of Colombia’s foremost economists and public policy analysts.
Chaired by Ambassador Mauricio Rodríguez and attended by Latin American ambassadors, policy makers, academics and members of the media, the book presentation event became the perfect opportunity to learn about Colombia’s successes, failures and lost opportunities on the war against drugs as part of the current global discussion on the present and future approaches to such war against drugs.
Even though the book is focused on Colombia, the analysis and understanding of what has been done, what has worked and of what has is surely of utmost interest to many countries and societies.
