A meeting coordinated by Baroness Molly Meacher, Chair of the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Drug Policy Reform (APPG), and hosted by Ambassador Mauricio Rodríguez, brought to discussion President Juan Manuel Santos' call for new approaches to the so-called 'War on Drugs'.

Attended by diplomats representing 25 European countries, the event briefed the attendees on the task-force of experts created by the Organisation of American States (OAS) to analyse, discuss and present perspectives to reform global drug policy.

The initiative backed by 34 leaders during the Summit of the Americas in Cartagena, will produce a couple of reports. One, analytical based on data, a second report, on possible drug policy scenarios.
