The tragedy, comparable to the destruction caused by ten Hurricanes Katrina combined has been addressed by the Government via the Colombia Humanitaria Foundation set up to administer the donations thus far received from around the world.
Colombia Humanitaria has been working steadily to offer aid to the 4 million Colombians affected however, additional assistance is urgently required, particularly as this unfortunate weather is forecast to continue for many months.
