Celebrating the Colombian tradition for hands-on cooking across generations, the festival -in its third year- has established itself as the most authentic celebration of the Colombian gastronomy in London.
Between September 23 and October 2, at the five-star InterContinental Park Lane, the Embassy and Consulate of Colombia in London, Proexport and the InterContinental Park Lane hosted the Colombia Gourmet Festival 2011 a week-long gastronomic celebration of the diversity of Colombia.
The event’s dedicated chefs, some of whom were visiting from Colombia, created spectacular menus that explore and evoke the style and flavours of many culinary traditions across Colombia and its regions.
The festival also featured Colombian harpist Diego Laverde and Guitarist/ Clarinettist Cesar Rodríguez; Colombian art from sculptor Margarita Hernández and an exhibition of pre-Columbian gold jewellery from Galería Cano.
