Tatler Magazine selected the Tcherassi Hotel in Cartagena and the Agua Barú as two of the best 101 hotels for 2012.
The magazine's Travel Guide 2012 describes the Tcherassi Hotel in Cartagena as the coolest spot in the city, praising it's Italian restaurant and spa.
As well as highlighting Cartagena as an idyllic touristic destination the publication recommends the Rosario Islands and the Agua Barú as the place for those wanting to scape the world's hubbub.
Tatler's Travel editor Melinda Stevens, editor of the guide, explains: "We want hotels to be as stunning as they can - go on, we dare them! - but we also want to feel the love."
